Triple glazed windows consist of three sheets of glass, with a gap between each of them to create an even greater insulating barrier than double glazed units. The space between the glass is often separated by a layer of air, or a heavier inert gas such as Argon, Kyrpton or Xenon. Triple glazed windows provide the added benefit of even greater insulation against the loss of heat, and with a lower U value, can lead to less cold spots in your home.
