What is a rooflight?
A rooflight is a clear or translucent structure designed for use on flat or low-pitched roofs. The large section of glazing provides additional levels of natural daylight into buildings and contributes to the overall aesthetic. Rooflights are commonly installed using an upstand or kerb system, which supports the product and acts as a surface for any weathering to be fixed to. Where installed on a pitched roof, rooflights are likely to be fitted ‘out of plane’ with the level of tiling.
