What is a curb?
A curb is the structure used to prevent a rooflight from coming into contact with the surface of the roof and is needed for most building regulations. The curb also needs to be a minimum of 150mm to ensure your unit is fully weatherproofed. Ordering a curb through your rooflight manufacturer will ensure that the profile has been designed and engineered to fit your exact rooflight, giving you peace of mind that the specified rooflight will benefit from improved thermal performance, weathering and air tightness.
