  • Rooflights and roof windows are popular additions to homes thanks to their ability to increase the amount of natural daylight.

When choosing a roof window, there are a lot of options to choose from – and the right choice will depend upon your specific requirements. For example, Glazing Vision’s new Pitchglaze rooflight may be a suitable product, which can be installed flush with the roof surface.

    What is Pitchglaze?

Pitchglaze is a CE-marked roof window that can be installed flush with the tiling line of pitched tiled roofs. It is a fixed window that provides a high level of performance, as well as a stylish look that’s ideal for contemporary homes.

    Why choose Pitchglaze?

Glazing Vision’s pioneering ‘frameless’ design means that when these windows are installed, building occupants can enjoy sky-only views. This is something that’s not normally found with more traditional roof windows.

Is Pitchglaze suitable for my roof?

Pitchglaze windows are designed for use in roofs with pitches between 15° and 60°. They can be used for roof apertures measuring up to 3 metres squared.

These roof windows have been successfully used in projects ranging from smaller domestic builds, through to high-end residential properties. Individual windows can be used to increase daylight in a single room, while several units can be installed adjacent to one another, creating a glazed ceiling that vastly increases natural light and also acts as a striking architectural feature.

    What are they made from?

The Pitchglaze windows have a Qualicoat-approved polyester powder coated aluminium framework and can incorporate your choice of double or triple glazing.

The windows are made using high-performance glass that is thermally efficient. It has a low emissivity (low-E) coating that has been heat-soak tested for additional safety.

    How are they installed?

These windows are easy to install, and since all fixings are accessible from the outside, they can be placed in existing buildings with minimal disruption to internal finishes.
