The Glazing Vision Skyhatch Electrically Hinged Access Rooflight is the ideal choice if you require access to a flat roof space for maintenance purposess. The minimum upstand pitch is 3°, and the maximum upstand pitch is 10°.
The ‘Skyhatch’ electrically hinged access rooflight is the ideal choice if you require access to a flat roof space for maintenance purposes.
The electrically hinged Skyhatch features intelligent synchronised scissor linkage opening mechanisms with encoder feedback, so that each side of the unit opens at precisely the same time, preventing excessive wear on the components. These mechanisms are all hidden within the framework and are extremely secure as they cannot be tampered with from the outside when the unit is securely closed. The mechanisms cannot be back driven or forcibly opened.
The rooflight opens to approximately 80 degrees at its maximum, but can also be opened at any point in between which means that the Skyhatch can also serve as a very effective natural ventilation product too. Operation of the rooflight is handled via the standard wall switch supplied, which also acts as a diagnostic tool in the unlikely event of a fault.
Tha Skyhatch features ‘soft close’ technology which reduces stress on the components and increases the operational life span of the product, the built in software also includes a current override system which will sense any irregular draw on the motors and stop the rooflight if in motion – this is an essential safety device for access rooflights, which not only protects the motors and mechanisms from damage, but also protects the user should they ever obstruct the rooflight when it is being operated.
The thermally broken extruded aluminium framework is supplied in dual colour polyester powder coat, RAL7015 Slate Grey on the outside and RAL 9010 Pure White on the inside whilst the standard glass make up features high performance toughened heat soak tested low emissivity glass with Argon filled warm edge spacer bar for outstanding thermal performance.
Power is supplied by an external 24V 300W mains power supply which is included – we recommend that this is connected by a competent professional using the wiring diagram supplied.
Rooflights.com also manufacture a manually operated version of this product for maintenance access, the manual Skyhatch which is available in 2000mm x 1100mm (external weathered upstand dimensions)
